Hello to anybody visiting as a result of the article. I hope you enjoy the content.
I've been a bit bogged down at work recently, but don't worry, there's plenty to come.
I pressed on with chapter 8, deciding it would not be productive at this point to go back over the first seven chapters. The story needs to move forward at all times, and so do I!

hi, i found my way here because of this magazine. You have a great blog and good luck with your writing.
ReplyDeleteI also found my way here due to your piece in April's Writers' News.
ReplyDeleteI am currently trying to make a semi-living from indulging in my passion for writing and was particularly interested in what you said about engaging with other writers and their experiences as I live in a very rural area with my computer for company!
I make full use of sites like Twitter because of where I live as it helps make me feel more connected to the world of writing, especially as I spend a good part of my day sat at the computer.
I am currently attempting to make a living as a writer (haha!), squeezing it in with the on/off day job, which is teaching English and Drama at secondary level. I also tutor for the Writers' News Home Study Dept.
Are you on Twitter?
Hey there, I found your blog through this magazine.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently working on the first draft of a novel (which is what I'm meant to be doing at this exact moment, and not surfing the net! Procrastination is definitely the curse of the writer) and I find your blog helpful in that I identify with many of your issues, even though I'm further behind in the actual novel writing process. Its interesting to see how you deal with such problems and I always find it reassuring to know that writing and editing doesn't come easy to other people either!!! I hope to start a blog some time soon, but I have a ridiculously busy day job so I'm trying not to get bogged down with new things at the moment!
Best of luck with your writing and I look forward to reading more posts.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI found you because of the magazine entry. I really like your blog and will be visiting regularly.
I've already published a novel on Lulu.com and sold a few copies but am thinking of going down the ebook route for the novel and also cheldrens books and poetry that I'm writing. But I know I've a long way to go.
I've also got a blog at http://maxryman.blogspot.com/ and will be putting stuff on there as I get into it.
Best of luck
